Hey there!

ree

I’ve been back home in Montana for the past two months, and during this time I’ve had a lot of thoughts swirling around—mainly the question, “What’s next?”

Over the past year, through prayer and seeking God’s direction, I’ve felt Him drawing me to a school in YWAM Kona called Frontlines. This three-month course is designed to address some of the major injustices in our world todayfrom human trafficking, war, and refugee crises, to Bible illiteracy in Gen Z, Bible poverty, the orphan crisis, poverty, hunger, and more.

The mission of Frontlines is to not only raise awareness about these issues but also to equip young missionaries to respond biblically and practically—bringing the hope of Jesus into the darkest places of society.

"We see an urgent need for young leaders grounded in truth to address cultural lies and social injustices, such as Bible illiteracy in Gen Z and the impacts of human trafficking, war, corruption, and poverty on vulnerable populations. We believe God is raising frontline leaders and missionaries to spread a biblical worldview and compassion globally, responding to the world's most desperate needs with Biblical solutions."

I'm going back to Kona in two weeks!

With this being said, I have been accepted into the school, and it begins in January. That gives me four months to prepare for this school! I have decided to move back to Kona for three months before the school begins. There are many reasons for this decision, the main ones being open job opportunities, and the most prevalent is the staff discount I will receive from the school. To receive a discounted school for being staff, I need to be an active staff during the three months before the school begins. This will ultimately save me around $2,500. With that knowledge, I have decided that moving back to Kona will be the best option for me regarding both finances and community.

Combined need from October through March: $7,000

What am I doing about it?

In order to qualify for the school discount, I’m required to volunteer a certain number of hours on campus. I’ll be serving part-time at the campus coffee shop, which will make me eligible for both staff housing and the discounted tuition. On top of that, I plan to work a job in town during the rest of the week!

This combination will allow me to cover my housing and some of my personal needs without relying entirely on fundraising. It’s a practical way for me to steward the opportunities God has given me while still trusting Him to provide for the bigger picture.

If you have any questions about what's next for me, please don't hesitate to reach out!
